Double Awards glory for Highland Housing Group

A Highland-based registered social landlord has scooped two titles at the Herald Property Awards at Glasgow’s Doubletree by Hilton Hotel last night (26 September). Two subsidiaries of Albyn Group – Highland Residential and Albyn Housing Society – brought home prized awards for their commitment to delivering affordable housing in the Highlands.

Highland Residential (Inverness) fought off competition from ESPC to be crowned the winner of the Residential Lettings Team of the Year, while Albyn Housing Society topped Glasgow Housing Association, Cube Housing, MAST Architects, Loretto Housing and Eildon Housing Association to claim Affordable Housing Development of the Yeafor its development at Drovers Square in Ardgay.

Lisa Buchanan, Group Chief Executive of Albyn Group said: “The double award win at The Herald Property Awards is testament to the whole team’s hard work and continuous drive for improvement that is evident across the whole group.

“Highland Residential works tirelessly to lease and sell quality homes to Highland residents using a range of innovative affordable models, while Albyn Housing Society continues to deliver aspirational, high quality developments for social rent across the region, including in small rural communities like Ardgay.”

As well as its Herald Property Award win, Highland Residential team is gearing up for further awards success following its shortlisting for three titles at the annual awards ceremony of the prestigious The Negotiator magazine. The team is in the running for Best Agency in Scotland, Single Branch Estate Agency of the Year (UK) and Single Branch Lettings Agency of the Year (UK), which will be announced on 29 November.
